Terms and Conditions

Effective date: May 10, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of String School websites, portals, booking tools, lesson-management features, practice tools, resources, and related services. String School is the legal entity providing the service. By using String School, you agree to these Terms.

Who May Use String School

You may use String School only if you can enter into a binding agreement or if your use is authorized by a parent, guardian, teacher, studio, school, or other responsible adult. If you use String School for a student or minor, you represent that you have authority to do so.

Accounts and Security

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and promptly update information that changes. You may not access another person’s account or attempt to bypass role-based permissions.

Teacher, Studio, Student, and Family Roles

String School supports role-based access for teachers, studios, students, and family members. Teachers and studios are responsible for their lesson records, scheduling decisions, invoices, resources, communications, and compliance obligations to their own students and families.

Learning Content and Practice Tools

String School provides educational and organizational tools for music learning. We do not guarantee a particular learning outcome, performance result, or uninterrupted availability of any specific feature.

Purchases, Entitlements, and Payments

Some features, theme packs, or product access levels may require a one-time purchase or other entitlement. Purchases are account- or profile-scoped unless otherwise stated. Future payment integrations may be handled by third-party providers and may be subject to additional terms.

Unless a checkout flow states otherwise, invoice payment confirmation tools do not process payment; they only record that a payment was submitted outside the app. Teachers or studios remain responsible for confirming actual receipt of payment.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service, interfere with its operation, upload malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, use the service for unlawful activity, or submit content that infringes others’ rights or violates applicable law.

User Content

You may add lesson notes, songs, practice records, resources, contact information, and other content. You retain ownership of content you submit, but you grant String School permission to host, process, display, and transmit that content as needed to provide the service.

Third-Party Services

String School may connect to or rely on third-party services such as authentication, hosting, storage, email, analytics, video, music metadata, and payment providers. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Disclaimers

String School is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, String School will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising from use of the service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe these Terms have been violated, if required by law, or if continued access creates risk for users, studios, or the service.
